Rates:

Individual Therapy: $125 - 145/session

Couples Therapy: $200/session

Relationship Clarity Assessment: $200/couple and $135/individual

I am considered to be an independent healthcare provider, and a substantial proportion of my fee (often 65-85%) is often reimbursed through your insurance plan, provided that you have out-of-network coverage.

I provide you with a paid receipt/statement that contains all of the necessary information to easily apply for reimbursement from your health insurance provider, and my fees are generally considered to be within the acceptable range by most insurance companies.

If you choose to apply to your insurance company for reimbursement, the process is not as overwhelming as it might seem, and I will help you in any way that I can to make it as smooth as possible.

Prior to beginning therapy, it will be useful for you to contact your insurance company to get specific details about your mental health benefits, number of sessions covered per year, and percent of cost covered for out of network providers.

Relationship Clarity Assessment is not therapy and, therefore, is not eligible for insurance reimbursement.

Payment Policy

I ask for payment to be made directly to me. If you wish to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement, I will furnish you with a statement at the end of each month with all of the required information on it.

I do have sliding scale payment spots available, and you are always welcome to inquire about their availability.

A Note on Managed Care Plans

There are a variety of reasons that I do not participate in managed care plans. Specifically, insurance companies require that all individuals receiving any type of mental health treatment receive a psychiatric diagnosis. Additionally, once your insurance company obtains your mental health treatment information, I can no longer guarantee its confidentiality. Most importantly, insurance companies often influence the type and duration of the course of therapy, and I strongly believe that you and I together should be the ones that determine the best way to help you meet your objectives, not your insurance company.
